Here we are in 2022. Happy New Year everyone! Now is the time we start to think about our resolutions for the New Year. Some of us are making plans to travel more and some of us are wanting an update to the home that we’ve been cooped up in for so long. We keep staring at our kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms, hoping they will look a little different everytime we walk in there. Alas, these spaces are still the same. Now is the time to get going and change things up a bit. It’s 2022! Let’s take a look at some of the renovations we have been working on for our clients!
Our Southside client decided it was time to give her dated kitchen, primary bathroom and guest bathroom an upgrade in design. The cabinets in the kitchen were loose and off in color, so we decided on new cabinetry in a fresh white against white walls and a fantastic black hexagon tile for the backsplash. Clean white quartz countertops and black plumbing fixtures along with hardware and stainless steel appliances add to the “cool” look of the kitchen. The one thing our client definitely wanted was an accent color in the kitchen, so she selected a red range from Bertazzoni. It makes the kitchen come alive!
For her primary bathroom, our client wanted a more relaxing, spa-like atmosphere. We kept her shower that she had recently updated herself and played on a more zen feel. We selected a beautiful vanity with a natural wood finish. Clean white countertops accented in brushed gold finishes for the plumbing fixtures and mirrors provide a clean, pristine look. Our client is a big fan of rejuvenating in a nice, hot bath. We provided a fantastic whirlpool tub from Hydro Systems. It has all the bells and whistles, different settings for the jets and even has chromotherapy lighting! It’s very cool. We cannot wait to do a proper photo shoot for this project. Look at our progress photos below.
Our lovely client in Piney Point, unfortunately, had quite a bit of damage to her primary bathroom and bedroom. The February 2021 freeze left her with busted pipes and water damage beyond any kind of small repair. We were happy to help her redo her bedroom and bathroom into the lovely retreat she envisioned with new tile, wallpaper and vanities. We also had to redo the closet, so we added height to give more hanging space and lots of adjustable shelving to store her seasonal clothing as well.
We selected the perfect paint color for her bedroom, Sherwin Williams 7008 Alabaster a beautiful white with soft, warm undertones. We used it in a satin finish for the cabinetry and closets and an eggshell finish for the walls. We also selected an accent color for her bathroom entry and water closet, Sherwin Williams 6521 Notable Hue, a beautiful shade of soft blue.
Quartz countertops by Cambria were selected called “Smithfield”. This quartz is a clean white with a delicate gray veining. We gave the bathroom a bit of glamour with champagne bronze plumbing fixtures and vanity lighting. Our client wanted to keep the style traditional with a modern update. We selected a beautiful 12×24” porcelain tile from DalTile called Florentine and used it for the floor in the main bath area in a staggered 1/3rd offset pattern and the shower walls as well. The main floor tile has a matte finish and the shower tile has a polished finish to give a little pizzazz. We kept the traditional blue and white floral theme by selecting a floral wallpaper from Brewster Wall Coverings for the entire bathroom to give it a feminine touch. The bedroom needed a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. We selected the same Alabaster paint for the walls, ceiling and trim and updated the carpet from Couristan with a beautiful low-pile trellis pattern. The project is almost finished. Below is a photo of the in-progress bathroom (left) and a before shot (right). We have come a long way and can’t wait to see the finished result!
Another one of our wonderful clients in the Rice Military area has a bedroom that she wants to refresh. Her primary bedroom needs a wow factor. She has a large niche for her bed but needed a headboard to anchor the bed in the space and to make the two queen beds look like one large bed. Leave it to Pamela Hope Designs to come up with a solution. We asked one of our favorite vendors Creative Style Furniture to give us a hand. What turned out was a beautiful, custom, channeled headboard upholstered in a deep blue shagreen vinyl. Creative Style also upholstered the siderails and footrail in the same vinyl for a truly custom look. It is fabulous! New pendant lighting was installed, and a new rug is in place. Additional pieces of new furniture and art are on the way and when the room is complete, our client will have the bedroom of her dreams! We can’t wait to show you the end result.
So, here’s to the New Year. Let’s make 2022 a year of renewing. If you have a room in your home that you want to give a facelift to, think of us at Pamela Hope Designs. We’re happy to help you bring your new renovation to fruition!
Until next time, let your creative juices flow!
