As usual, we are incredibly busy at Pamela Hope Designs! From whole house contemporary remodeling projects to customizing linens and draperies for master bedrooms, we have some beautiful designs going all around town.
We’ve also been asked to lend our design eye for galas and charity events, including Phi Mu’s annual Houston Panhellenic event and the Texas State Pilots’ spring meeting! For Phi Mu’s event, we created a vision of pink and white! We adorned the tables with lovely florals and balloons! As for the Texas State Pilots meeting, we are ordering custom logoed chocolate cigars and flower hair clips. I’m also preparing a presentation on dorm room décor for the young ladies of the National Charity League.Despite our busy schedules, my husband and I really wanted to squeeze in one last ski trip for the year. We had both gone on separate winter trips with our friends, but hadn’t gone skiing together yet this season. Jon sent me daily snow reports until I caved in and said yes to a quick getaway. We packed our bags and coats and headed northwest to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Jackson Hole had a fantastic base early in the year and after a brief hiatus, snow began falling again in mid-March. We booked a beautiful room, complete with a fireplace, ski valet and ski in/ski out access. We were welcomed by 9” of fresh snow and bluebird perfect days. During our trip, we wined and dined all over town, marveling at how delicious the cuisine was.
I remember visiting Jackson Hole as a child, but boy has it changed! Happily, many of my childhood favorites are still there, including the antler arches on the town square, the funky mom and pop motels and the very interesting Elk Refuge. We even happened to catch the World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb! It was certainly quite a sight!
