I don’t know about you, but I was sad to see Mad Men go off the air this past spring. Not only had I fallen in love with the characters, but I also loved tuning in to check out all the great style. Of course the clothes were amazing, but it was mostly the interior design that I couldn’t get enough of. From Don and Megan’s amazing apartment, to the various offices at Sterling Cooper Draper Price, I was really inspired by midcentury modern style.
Just because Mad Men is over doesn’t mean we should forget about midcentury style, though. It’s been everywhere recently: from media stands to couches to wooden accents. Here are a few of my favorite pieces inspired by the style:
This green accent chair makes a statement all on its own, but it’s really the gold pineapple lamp that steals the show here! The retro Bossa Nova poster is another touch that’s somehow both vintage and modern at the same time.

So opulent! The red and gold color scheme of this room channels a 1970s vibe. The gold palm tree lamp is another showstopper.

Can’t you just see Don Draper using this gold sideboard as his at-home bar? The wood paneling on the walls ties this midcentury modern dream room together.
