Floral designs have circulated in and out of popularity for decades. Lucky for us, they’re all the rage in 2016! However, the ways in which you can incorporate them into your home décor have expanded. There are some exciting – both bold and subtle – ways you can add some serious flower power to your space. We’ve put together a list of our top five ways to add floral patterns into your home.

Wallpaper
We know what you’re thinking, but don’t worry! No 80s inspirations here. Subtle floral wallpaper, whether used on your walls, ceilings or stair raisers can give your space a much-needed pop of texture or color.

Upholstery
Take an old chair or chaise that you’ve grown tired of and reupholster it with your favorite floral fabric. Not only is this a fun DIY project allowing you to express your creativity, but it’s also economical!

Artwork
Bring your walls to life with nature-inspired artwork. Whether it’s an abstract painting of your favorite flower, or a piece in your gallery wall, incorporating florals through artwork can be a beautiful way to bring the petals indoors!

Throw pillows and blankets
If you’re a little apprehensive to redo your décor to reflect your inner flower child, try simply scattering floral-patterned pillows and blankets throughout your living room area. Floral throw pillows and blankets are both functional and create a bright, natural atmosphere.

Fresh flowers
When in doubt, bring your garden indoors! Your décor can remain the same, but with an added fresh, floral scent. We particularly love hydrangeas in any room!

There are several options to consider when integrating floral designs into your home. From smaller décor elements to larger furniture pieces, we love that this trend is back in style for 2016, and can’t wait to use it in our clients’ homes!
