My twin girls are getting ready for back to school and I am sure everyone else is ready to get back to a normal family routine. I know we are at the Smith residence! We have enjoyed the summer at Pamela Hope Designs. My daughter Mia has come to the office with me a few times and we have been keeping busy helping clients turn their houses into homes. We have several exciting commercial projects, too. I became a veritable expert on paper towel and paper toilet seat cover holders last week when Pamela was out of town. We had to specify the dimensions for the architect and contractors so they could prepare the new walls. These slick new bathrooms are going to look great!
I attended my first speed selling event hosted by ASID. It is great to see the latest products used in our industry today as well as visiting with friends and colleagues and enjoying great food at Kenny & Ziggy’s. Our intern Montserrat was able to join me. It was a great learning opportunity for her. I have to say the most exciting part was when I won an Apple sport watch! Woo Hoo!!! Please see the photos below of Montserrat and me with some of our favorite industry partners. We love these folks and use them in projects all of the time. It is great to know we can always count on them to do excellent work for our clients.
On the home front, my girls are ready for their senior year in high school. I can’t believe it is finally here and I am very proud of them! I know it is going to go by so fast. I will have my tissues ready at all times!
Pamela and Jon enjoyed their annual summer visit to Alaska last week. I am sharing a few photos she sent my way. I don’t think she meant to rub it in, but it sure looks like cooler weather. Look how beautiful her mother-in-law’s garden is in Seattle! I have never seen a hydrangea in that deep wine hue. She also sent a beautiful picture of a waterfall. She said it is actually in their backyard up there! The little boat is on the family dock in a small fishing village called Meyers Chuck, and she sent a photo of their hike to Carlanna Lake and a great shot of downtown Ketchikan. Wow –what scenery!
So if you are traveling around our beautiful country or even around our beautiful city, keep your eyes open for inspiration. You never know when it will come around!
Until next time, let your creative juices flow!
