Simple Designer Secrets
We all have our secrets, but when it comes to interior design, we have a few more to share. Interior designing is fun, creative, and requires a lot of attention to detail.
Start simple and start with a color scheme.
Once you decide on a color scheme, the rest will slowly all come together. The beauty about color schemes is that there Is no need to match “just because.” Be sure that each room tells a story.
Fake the height.
Height has always been in style. A good, high ceiling in any room can really change the entire outcome of how well accessories go into place. If your space isn’t blessed with a great height, no need to worry: It’s easy to fake a few inches. Placing low furniture in any space will help it appear taller. The goal is to try to create vertical space.
Set windows to wow.
What if we didn’t have windows to work with? I couldn’t imagine. Window space is vital to creating a comfortable room, and great windows allow us to plan around them. A little trick for windows is to color the trim. This doesn’t have to be complex. Just ask yourself how often you see window trims colored. Don’t be afraid to add some personality to your windows! With this simple trick, this can be an easy way to decorate the rest of the room.
Spice up neutrals.
Sometimes choosing neutral colors for a room is the right thing to do. Keep in mind that choosing neutral colors doesn’t indicate that you have to stay all neutral. Add a little life by inserting a touch of texture. Add different materials to the space that can actually bring out the significance of the neutral tone.
